Horizons Art Gallery presents its first exhibition of the year by Martin Superville

Many know Martin for his beautifully-rendered oil paintings of dancers, captivating the viewer with their swirling skirts and saucy expressions. Some will also be familiar with his well executed depictions of our local cricketers in action including our own great, Brian Lara. However, in his work Martin explores all media including charcoal, watercolour, pen and ink and airbrushing. He is also an exceptional portrait painter and has the ability to capture the essence of his subject with great clarity and deftness.

As the curator of his own art gallery in Tobago, he has had visitors from many countries purchase his paintings to make their home in far away places. Besides many successful one man exhibitions in Trinidad and Tobago, Martin's work has been shown in Anguilla and Washington, USA, and well appreciated there.

Martin Superville's next exhibition opens at Horizons Art Gallery, 37 Mucurapo Road, St James on Tuesday January 18th from7:00pm until 8:30pm.

This show, titled "in the corner of my mind there lives a savannah", will focus on smaller pieces mainly and promises not to disappoint with its selection of local dancers and women. It will continue at Horizons until January 29th during regular opening hours of Mon.- Fri. 9:00am-5:30pm and Sat. 9:00am-1:00pm.
