CAW Magazine aims to be at the forefront of Caribbean art and its growing art market. CAW Magazine reaches an audience of artists, collectors, gallery owners, museum curators, art historians, art educators, fine art appraisers, and others interested in Caribbean Art. We strive to represent the fine arts of the Caribbean region by providing access to scholarly exchanges, to learn about the hottest artists and collectors, museums to tour during your travels to the Caribbean, to find art happenings across the globe, and much more.
BECOMING AN AUTHOR FOR CAW MAGAZINE
We welcome article submissions by authors of Caribbean Art covering interviews of artists and others in the art industry, art reviews of exhibits, art criticism, history, and scholarly writings.
CAW Magazine is an online and print magazine focused exclusively on the fine arts of the Caribbean. Writing for CAW Magazine is a great way to get your name recognized in the Caribbean Art World, and to build your freelance business. Publishing an article in our online or print version of the magazine exposes you to a global audience of interested and passionate art collectors, art professionals, and art enthusiasts.
Articles accepted for publication are accompanied by a full bio, linked to your external web site, if you have one. This has the benefit of providing valuable traffic and backlinks to your site. As a published author on CAW Magazine, you will have access to reader feedback and traffic statistics for the articles on our site.
ARTICLE OBJECTIVES AND STYLE
Articles should be written with the general reader in mind who may not be well informed not only about Caribbean Art, but art in general. It should provide the reader with clear understanding of the material with detailed explanations where needed. Articles should neither oversimplify nor obscure the heart of the message.
GRAPHIC MATERIAL
Whenever possible, contributors should furnish digital images, photographs, slides, transparencies, and/or illustrations that will enhance the article in high-definition, 300dpi. These can be submitted via email, or uploaded via FTP server (instructions provided if this method is preferred). A number of articles and images will be selected for our print editions of the magazine with more in-depth coverage. Our Art Department will finalize images if necessary. A title and explanatory caption should accompany each image. Materials submitted via mail can be returned to the contributor on request.
ARTICLE SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Articles submitted to CAW Magazine should be typed and double-spaced. Long articles can be divided into two or more parts and published in successive issues. All sources used should be listed at the end of the article by reference.
You may email your article in Microsoft Word or as a Text file, mailed to us on a CD or DVD, in the body of the email, or uploaded via our web site. Include the graphic material requested above.
All article submissions should also include a small bio of the author, and full contact information.

REVIEW OF ARTICLE
After an article is submitted, our editor will review it and email you our decision to publish in the magazine. Accepted articles may be edited as necessary for consistency with CAW Magazine’s editorial style. Authors will receive a final copy for review before publishing on the Web site.
